Numero 97 - Mommie Dearest

Another great shoot! I love the styling, the make-up, the hair, the clothes, the concept. So Mommie Dearest, that was one of my fave movies, by the way. I love the picture of her cutting up teddies. So psycho n glamourous, just the way i like it. Don't you think the little girl's bouffant hairstyle is just adorable just like mommie's amd with matching dresses too. Omg sooo cute!

Tim Burton - Shoot For Vogue UK, Tales of The Unexpected

Yunju Lee Stained

How original! Turning stains into wearable, fascinating jewelery. I can't wait what YUNJU LEE will come up with next. Designed in the style of your common everyday stain like ink block, lipstick on a guy's collar, ketchup drips, and how about a milk moustache. Yes u wear it just like a moustache. So cute.

Lee said about the collection " The worthless and unpleasant stain which we find from our daily lives can be transformed into the most valuable and fascinating jewellery".

My favourite piece is the lipstick stain on the gold collar.

A Bunny Scream

I just heard a bunny scream. It was most unbearably horrible. I had tears in my eyes. It was skinned alive. Poor, poor bunny! The fur was literally tore off in one long, single, brutal cut. The whole fur came right off, from the the head to the tail. The furless bunny screamed and shook violently from extreme pain.

Why wear fur? Fur from any animals. They all get the same treatment or worst. People need to educate themselves and have a heart. Is it so difficult for human beings to have a heart? Asking for the moon? Animals can feel fear, pain and suffer just like we do. Imagine if you are captured for your skin and hung upside down and skinned alive, how do u think you'll feel? And u do not died immediately and left there to slowly rot in PAIN to your death. Imagine.

Why do most people just dont get it! I feel very strongly against wearing fur.

So my pre Xmas message : Have compassion. Spread LOVE and JOY not Pain and Suffering.

Khloe Kardashian Explains Her Furry Past, Peta

Even though Khloe Kardashian came under fire after photos surface showing her earlier in the year covered in fur. You know what I'm glad that she made the decision to appear in a anti fur campaign for PETA. Just think all her sissstahs will have to go furless! The question of course remain will she stick to her resolve not to wear fur? Have faith people!

On her official website she wrote :

As some of you might have seen today, there are several people who have taken to the web calling me a hypocrite and posting photos of me wearing fur.

The reason PETA approached me initially is because in my past I did wear fur and they wanted to educate me on the brutal ways in which animals are skinned for their pelts. After watching their video once, I was so horrified that I immediately swore off fur. The cruel treatment I saw had a great impact on me and I am deeply hurt that people are trying to criticize me for uneducated choices I made in my past that I now regret terribly.

I do know there are tons of photos where I am wearing fur pieces so this is to be expected, but I just wanted to let you know the real story behind my conscious decision and compassionate change of heart.

I have changed my ways and I hope that many other people will as well.

Fly 16x9 Releases the latest web film - My World, Prada

You must absolutely check out FLY 16x9, if you haven't already. Today, they just launched their latest video, "My World" a mini-film featuring Prada's latest designs on model/actress Masha Yakovenko. Must watch!
My favourite is "The Veil" featuring Junya Watanabe. It just very poetic, melancholy, seductive and sensual. Captivating in another word. Don't know why but it just appealed to my sense and sensibility. Ms Havisham came to my mind. I always love that book, "Great Expectation" I wanted to be Estella, hard, tough and mean, a heartbreaker, a little bitch, but nevertheless always very beautiful. The qaulites of the making of a femme fatale,no. Now that I'm all grown up, I just want to be me. I'm nice and have a good heart. However, I also go by the motto - "To live, I must be beautiful." The irony is that if you are beautiful, u cannot be bad/evil. "The Veil" is Estella as i see it. She went mad. That was her punishment. It was just romantic to think of it that way.....
The other one that came up in my mind was "Night for Day" featuring Zac Posen. I liked the feeling it evoked of late nite and partaaaaying in the big city, very sexy.
The web film featured famous designers and hot looking models with killer cheeks bone :- Louis Vuitton, Givenchy, Hussein Chalayan, Masison Martin Margiela and many more. A very tantalising list.

Hankering Madly for Blindingly Shiny Party Clothes

My deepest desire what to wear to ring in the New Year has to be something outrageously sparkly and unfortunately come with an outrageously expensive price tags too. I mean just look at Mui Mui sequined bomber jacket, $3,135 and sequin bandage dress, Hervé Léger, $2,800. So glam, how not to love them! Having said that if there's a fairy god-mother that's what i want for X'mas. And not to forget the shoes, handbag, blings............ a girl just needs so many things!

A Healthy Dose of Style

Many times I came across many eco-friendly clothes and I always wonder why they suffer so badly from style quotient, drab and boring. So I'm very pleased to introduce you MOCIUM. Right now everything is 50% off. I love their batik inspired print, mini dresses and skinny jeans.

Fashion Talks Green

Fashion Week Daily

New York's 10th annual Fashion Conference tackles the sustainability topic

(NEW YORK) New York's fashion set talked all things eco-chic at this weekend's 10th annual New York Fashion Conference, entitled Green: Sustainability, Significance, and Style. After kicking off Thursday night with a private screening of Last Chance Harvey, the conference, sponsored by A Diamond Is Forever, began Friday morning at the Graduate Center at the City University of New York.

Topics addressed at the many panel discussions included natural materials, alternative fibers and ethically sourced stones and metals, reuse and repurposing, eco-responsible and bio-friendly packaging, and the marketing of Green to a diverse, global consumer.

Several industry players came out to give their two cents. Saturday's speakers included Simon Doonan (whose presentation was entitled "Rudolph the Recycling Reindeer"), Tiffany and Co. CEO Michael J. Kowalski, and Tamsin Smith, president of the (RED) initiative, among others. On Sunday, the green discourse continued with Rosalind Kainyah, executive director of corporate communications for the Diamond Trading Company (part of the De Beers Group), who spoke on sustainability, diamond mining, and shared national wealth in Africa, followed by more presentations by the likes of Julie Gilhart and a case study on the "transition into green" by Lutz & Patmos' Tina Lutz and Marcia Patmos.
